2 Comments Featured, Florida, Girl Scouts, Movies, Raising Children, Tampa

I lead an amazing group of girls. Girl Scouts have become a huge part of my life with my own three girls and the opprotunities we have had because of their hard work and dedication what Girl Scouting is all about!

We are excited to announce that my Girl Scout Troop 30893, 6th grade Cadettes from Learning Gate Communtiy School, will be hosting a community screening of the Screenagers: Growing Up in the Digital Age.  This film was chosen to help open the conversation between parents and kids about screen time, social media, and how our children are growing up in the digital age like no generation before.  We invite you to attend with your children and then stay for a Q&A with a special guest. Bark.us will have their CPO (Chief Parent Officer- Tatania Jordan) to help talk about social media safety and conversations we should be having with our children. (Bark is an app that helps keep kids safer online.) Mark your calendars for this event and invite your friends.  It is one that should not be missed. This is a free event and open to the community.

About the Girl Scouts: The Girl Scouts Troop 30893 from Girl Scouts of West Central Florida, are earning their aMAZE Journey badges. This journey requires the girls to host a Take Action Project taking what they have learned about healthy relationships and passing it along to others. They hope to open up the conversation between kids and their parents and believe that healthy relationships online and in person could keep kids safe.

Hello Marisa, I love your blog! Wow! Four kids! I only have three. My name is Elaine and I am a mom of three and a former school teacher, and I also am the creator of a children’s daily visual schedule called Easy Daysies, which I made by parent demand to help kids get out the door faster in the morning. My goal is to help kids and busy families have easier days, and that is how it got its’ name… Easy Daysies®! I just came across your blog as I am looking for some mom bloggers who live in Florida. I recently had a stroke which prevented me from connecting with you earlier, and I would be so grateful for your kind help. Would you or would you know of any mom bloggers who would be interested in reviewing Easy Daysies for Back to School? The reviewer would receive an Easy Daysies Mombassador Back-To-School Care Package valued at $150.

I created my products by accident when many families would ask me to make visual schedules to help their children at home get out the door faster in the morning. I drew these visual schedules for many years for families and for free. When I realized that there was no other daily visual schedule for kids out there, I decided to make it into a product by tutoring and selling crafts at fairs to save up the $1400 I needed to launch my first product, which was launched two days after our third baby was born! It then became the “#1 Back to School Must Have” in Parents magazine here in Canada. Easy Daysies has since won eleven awards and is recommended by name by child-psychologists, occupational therapists, and speech and language pathologists. Easy Daysies was also fought over by all five investors on a savvy entrepreneur investor show called Dragons’ Den, aka Shark Tank in the USA! Easy Daysies is the #1 Back to School Must Have, Best 100 Toys of the Year and Educational Product of the Year! I would be so honored if you would take a moment to check out my website (http://www.easydaysies.com). I would be honored and thrilled to have Easy Daysies® reviewed by you. I look forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience. Kindly, Elaine Tan Comeau, Mom of Three
