GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 is EPIC || #GOTGVOL2

No Comments Disney, Disney Movies, Marvel, Movies, Review, Sneak Peak

I’ve been blogging for a while now and I also am addicted to reading blogs! Especially about movies! And in the past year, I have been fortunate to have seen some very cool movies before they hit theaters.

I had an AWESOME opportunity to see GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL.2 a few days before everyone else, but let me tell you…when I told my son we had media passes, he lost it! I have also been reading about all the cast insights and more from a few lucky blogger friends of mine who were picked to be red carpet bloggers at the premier! They got to interview the cast and I just couldn’t stop reading! Check out my friend, Vera’s blog, Lady and The Blog, where she dishes with the whole cast and more! So jealous and so excited to see the movie!

We had just seen Guardians of the Galaxy, for the 100th time, last week on our weekly Friday night family movie night! I got ambitious and made these to get the kids more excited to see the GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL.2 on May 5th:

They were delicious by the way. And totally earned me some cool Mom points too!

And then we saw the movie…

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.

OMG! I just can’t spoil it. It would be so unfair. But let me tell you….I laughed, I cried, and all I wanted to do was hug that Baby Groot! It was far beyond what I was was expecting and I was expecting some great things from this movie! The music is epic and tells so much of the story just as it did in the first movie. Dive deeper into the characters and where they came from and how much they mean to each other. And yes, there are even better scenes than the epic dance off with Peter Quill or the dancing Baby Groot to the Jackson 5 from the first movie. The Star Lord will return!

So… now, I have officially hopped on the bandwagon of super galactic fan and will be going out to buy all the things “Groot” and more! Thankfully, there is a ton of super fun toys for me to by my kids (and I promise I will only play with them while they are at school) and my friend Vera, from Lady and the Blog, has an amazing toy guide already done here, so no need for me to recreate the wheel! Check it out here so you’ll know what to buy! But the first thing I am buying is the soundtrack.

And I hope you go see the movie. Like opening day. May 5th. Get your tickers now. Like right now. And bring some tissues. You’ll need those too.

Make sure to follow along with GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL.2 on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook!

I was invited as a member of the media to a press screening of GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL.2 for the purpose of this review. All opinions are my own.

More Than Just A Restaurant- Goody Goody Opens in Tampa, Florida || Tampa Mama

No Comments Dining Out, Florida, Lifestyle, Mama Loves, Review, Sneak Peak, Tampa, Tampa Bay

One of the best evenings spent with the Goody Goody family and GrandDad as my date to the hottest ticket in town, especially for the foodies. I was lucky to be invited to a pre-opening of the famed Goody Goody, established in 1925 in Tampa (see map below for locations back in the day) and now revived by the famed 4th generation Tampa restaurateur, Richard Gonzmart. If you’ve lived in Tampa or even visited, you are more than likely familiar with his restaurants- The Columbia and Ulele– with more plans to add more concepts to his portfolio soon.

A Father’s Day Date: Hard Rock Cafe and the World Burger Tour

No Comments Dining Out, Florida, Lifestyle, Multi-generational, Orlando, Review, Sponsored

My Dad and I rarely get to spend Father’s Day together. The distance keeps us apart on most years, but not this year. My parents were visiting for a week to see the kids and I actually got some alone time with my Dad one day while the kids were at school. I decided to make a break for it and head to a restaurant that I knew he would LOVE!

Mama Loves: A Clean House

No Comments Mama Loves, Review, Tampa, Tampa Bay

This is a sponsored post! Thank you for supporting Tampa Mama!

It’s no surprise, this Mama LOVES a clean house!

Mama Loves

But…I’m busy. Shocker. I try my best to clean the house on a daily basis so that things are not piled up and my house work doesn’t burry me…literally. I do need help every once in a while, but it’s hard to find a reliable service that is as last minute as I am. Until now!

I came across a cleaning service that seemed to have read my mind! I thought it was too good to be true! When I Say Maid is a new service in the Tampa Bay area that is like Uber for a cleaning company. Sometimes things come up and I’m in need of a service on a more immediate basis. This service has really listened to their audience and developed a business around what people (like me) need.

I had the opportunity to give their new business a test drive!

We scheduled an appointment and everything was all set! They have a 52- point cleaning checklist that should be signed off on before your cleaning person leaves your home. I also really like the straight forward charges that they have laid out. It is very professional and takes much of the guessing game out of how much to pay additionally if you need your oven cleaned or your walls cleaned.

When they sent their cleaning person to my home, I did like knowing that they have all their employees background check, licensed, insured and bonded. (Running my own company, I know how important these things are and should not be over looked when your hire anyone to do work in your home!)

She got to work right away! She was extremely thorough, and the only hick up was that she was double booked that day and couldn’t finish my home in the allowed time (I have reached out to the company and was assured that this glitch has been worked out and they are no longer double booking as they were when they launched.)

But my home looked awesome.

I was definitely impressed with their professionalism and would recommend their company to those looking for a cleaning company to help with a short notice. I like that there are no hidden charges and everything is up front. They are even willing to guarantee their services with a 200% guarantee and that alone is impressive!

This Mama Loves a clean house and is excited to know that someone out there gets me and my busy schedule.

Slow Cooked Meals from Bob Evans are Perfect For This Busy Mama

No Comments Ad, Adventures, Dining Out, Review, Sponsored, Tampa, Tampa Bay, Tampa Restaurants

Thank you to Bob Evans Restaurants for sponsoring this post and thank you for reading!

I love to cook. I truly enjoy cooking a slow meal that we can all enjoy together. We go to the farmers markets on weekends. We cook together. The kids enjoy being a part of making the meal. It’s time we spend together hopefully making memories that my kids will  one day share with their kids.

But life with four kids isn’t always as easy a Sunday morning. We have homework, baseball practice, gymnastics, Girl Scouts. I work full time and so does my husband. I try to be mindful of meals by planning in advance, prepping them the day before and using leftovers wisely. But our kids have grown to really enjoy a fresh, slow cooked homemade meal.

I was introduced to Bob Evans Restaurants when we would travel with my family from Milwaukee to Tampa. I honestly haven’t been back in years, but that’s soon to change. They really understand me. They get I’m busy and just can’t do it all. Some days I need a break. Just a break to sit down, talk with my kids and take to work out of the delicious meal. Sometime is good to let someone else do the cookin’ and especially of the food will be just like Mama used to make.

The 3 course dinners now available remind my kids of my cooking and our Sunday Suppers. It’s nice to know that any night of the week, when school, work and life get to hectic, we can drop by for a visit where we can slow down, relax, enjoy a slow cooked homemade meal, just like I would have cooked.

My kids loved the pot road and the broasted chicken dinner. With so many sides to choose from, picky eaters can celebrate. Add fresh bread and a salad, and dinner is done!

A little insiders tip is to visit with the family on Tuesday because kids eat free with the purchase of an adult menu. (See store for full rules.)
I’ll definitely be signing up for emails and taking advantage of their specials.

It’s nice to know that places like Bob Evans are there to help busy parents like us. We can’t wait to visit Bob Evans again!
