My New Year’s Resolution: Education First

Florida Prepaid College Plan

As a daughter of two teachers, education for my children takes a front seat and is always incorporated in to vacations, daily activities and just life. I feel that there are so many teachable moments that I don’t want to miss. From writing letters at a restaurant…

to visiting Tallahassee with the Girl Scouts, lobbying about recess, we try our best to give our kids every opportunity to learn something new everyday. We want them to have the best start for their future.

But what if we aren’t putting education first? I know what we are doing daily is helping them out, but are we thinking far enough ahead? We know we want the kids to attend college and further their education, but have WE put education first? The Florida Prepaid College Board has Florida Prepaid’s Open Enrollment period (now through Feb. 28, 2017) and it’s time WE put THEIR education first.

For a very limited time, you can save on registration by using the Florida Prepaid College promo code: BLOG1617

With a variety of plans to choose from, parents can really look at how it will fit into their budget or possibly look to other family members to give the gift of education! We loved the one-year Florida

1-Year Florida University Plan:

  • Now there is a more affordable way to save for State University credit hours. The 1-Year
Florida University Plan is our newest offering
  • You can purchase one year, or 30 credit hours, at a time according to your budget and
timeline, without feeling the pressure of having to buy all four years at once.
  • The plan also allows multiple purchasers to buy a plan for the same child. So now you can
team up with other family members to help pay for your child’s higher education
  • For example, let Grandma and Grandpa buy one year and you purchase another. A
child can have up to four 1-Year Florida University Plans

We want our kids to have the best opportunities to learn and we don’t want the rising cost of education to be a factor in stopping that learning.

Our New Year’s Resolution this year will be putting their education first by prioritizing and planning for their future. One small step at a time.
