GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2 is EPIC || #GOTGVOL2

No Comments Disney, Disney Movies, Marvel, Movies, Review, Sneak Peak

I’ve been blogging for a while now and I also am addicted to reading blogs! Especially about movies! And in the past year, I have been fortunate to have seen some very cool movies before they hit theaters.

I had an AWESOME opportunity to see GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL.2 a few days before everyone else, but let me tell you…when I told my son we had media passes, he lost it! I have also been reading about all the cast insights and more from a few lucky blogger friends of mine who were picked to be red carpet bloggers at the premier! They got to interview the cast and I just couldn’t stop reading! Check out my friend, Vera’s blog, Lady and The Blog, where she dishes with the whole cast and more! So jealous and so excited to see the movie!

We had just seen Guardians of the Galaxy, for the 100th time, last week on our weekly Friday night family movie night! I got ambitious and made these to get the kids more excited to see the GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL.2 on May 5th:

They were delicious by the way. And totally earned me some cool Mom points too!

And then we saw the movie…

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.

OMG! I just can’t spoil it. It would be so unfair. But let me tell you….I laughed, I cried, and all I wanted to do was hug that Baby Groot! It was far beyond what I was was expecting and I was expecting some great things from this movie! The music is epic and tells so much of the story just as it did in the first movie. Dive deeper into the characters and where they came from and how much they mean to each other. And yes, there are even better scenes than the epic dance off with Peter Quill or the dancing Baby Groot to the Jackson 5 from the first movie. The Star Lord will return!

So… now, I have officially hopped on the bandwagon of super galactic fan and will be going out to buy all the things “Groot” and more! Thankfully, there is a ton of super fun toys for me to by my kids (and I promise I will only play with them while they are at school) and my friend Vera, from Lady and the Blog, has an amazing toy guide already done here, so no need for me to recreate the wheel! Check it out here so you’ll know what to buy! But the first thing I am buying is the soundtrack.

And I hope you go see the movie. Like opening day. May 5th. Get your tickers now. Like right now. And bring some tissues. You’ll need those too.

Make sure to follow along with GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL.2 on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook!

I was invited as a member of the media to a press screening of GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL.2 for the purpose of this review. All opinions are my own.

No Comments Disney, Disney Movies, Movies

We can’t wait for Cars 3 to be our first movie of the summer! Jake was a toddler when the first movie came out and it was his first in the theater. He was obsessed with this movie. I mean, I can easily recite every word to the first movie. So here is the newest trailer! I’m getting more excited each time that they share something new!!!

Trust me! We even went as far as to take Jake to do a Junior Ride-a-long at the Richard Petty Experience Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando in a race car that looked like the characters! I totally earned some cool Mom points for that one! (Note: This is no longer available at Walt Disney World. It is available in two NACSAR locations. More details here.)

We’ve even been to Daytona International Speedway to see where these guys really come from. But Abby wasn’t around yet. Looks like we might have to make a trip back soon with her in tow!

Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival

There are a few things that I look forward to you when the weather starts to turn from cold to beautiful. And the skies church start to turn from gray to blue. I love opening day of baseball, I love watching the masters, but to me the first signs of spring happen when I visit The Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. For the past 24 years this festival has taken blue skies, beautiful flowers and endless magic and transformed Epcot into one of the most beautiful places in Florida this time of year.  And each year the event gets better and better.

Why I Will Be Sitting In The Front Row For Disney Pixar’s COCO

No Comments Disney, Disney Movies, Movies, Sneak Peak

I recently saw this trailer for COCO, a new Disney Pixar movie. I was immediately frozen. I believe in signs. I have for a long time. I look for the good ones that tell me those that have gone before might still be here, watching over me. This movie is a sign.

You see, my first sign with this movie is that my father’s name is Ernesto. He left this Earth far too early. Leaving behind two young daughters with only memories of his voice. The La Voz de Oro. And that is my second sign. He was also a singer in a marichi band and had a voice of gold. That’s what we put on his tombstone.

Ernesto Cornejo

My Father, Ernesto, is center.

So already, this movie is speaking to me. Miguel (maybe the character would have been named Marisa if he was a girl) and his magical guitar, searching for answers on dia de los muertos, has so many symbolic reasons that I cannot be more excited to see this movie.

Count me in for front row seats to this movie. My Mom’s birthday is November 2nd, Dia de los Muertos. This movie is due out in November. Coincidence? I’m hoping she and my sister will come with me to see it.

“We are all a part of those that came before.” Never has a movie ever spoke to me this one.

#Cars3 Summer 2017 || Tampa Mama

No Comments Disney, Disney Movies, Lifestyle, Movies

Getting our engines rev’d up for this movie! Cars 3 will be in theaters June 2017! It will be the first one we see this summer!

Hmmmm…maybe a trip to Daytona International Speedway is in order!

A few new characters are hitting the track and I can’t wait to see how it plays out!

Jackson Storm (voice of Armie Hammer)
Jackson Storm is fast, sleek and ready to race. A frontrunner in the next generation of racers, Storm’s quiet confidence and cocky demeanor are off-putting—but his unmatched speed threatens to redefine the sport. Trained on high-tech simulators that are programmed to perfect technique and maximize velocity, Jackson Storm is literally built to be unbeatable—and he knows it.

CARS 3 Cruz Ramirez (voice of Cristela Alonzo) Cruz Ramirez is a sunny-but-fierce unconventional trainer at the Rust-eze Racing Center. She expertly arms the team's talented rookies with cutting-edge tools to tear up the track—but she nearly stalls when her longtime idol Lightning McQueen shows up. While she’d love to help him find his way back to the top, she knows the competition is faster than ever, and victory is all about speed—or is it? ©2016 Disney•Pixar. All Rights Reserved.

My son is going to flip!  We’ve got a new countdown happening since about noon today when it was announced that Han Solo: A New Star Wars Story Production has begun!  What you say?! Read below for all the details!
The adventure-filled past of the iconic scoundrel and everyone’s favorite Wookiee is going before cameras this month when principal photography on the untitled Han Solo Star Wars Story officially began February 20th at Pinewood Studios, London.
The movie will explore the duo’s adventures before the events of Star Wars: A New Hope, including their early encounters with that other card-playing rogue from a galaxy far, far away, Lando Calrissian.
Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are directors co-piloting the movie, with a cast that includes Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clarke, Donald Glover as Lando Calrissian, Thandie Newton, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge, with Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca.
“Watching such inspired people from all over the world, with such unique voices, come together for the sole purpose of making art, is nothing short of miraculous,” Lord and Miller said. “We can’t think of anything funny to say, because we just feel really moved, and really lucky.”

Written by Lawrence and Jon Kasdan, it will be produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Allison Shearmur, Simon Emanuel and co-produced by Kiri Hart, Susan Towner and Will Allegra. Lawrence Kasdan and Jason McGatlin will executive produce.

Crewing the ship will be some of the industry’s top talent, including Academy Award nominee for his work on “Arrival,” Bradford Young (Director of Photography), Chris Dickens (Editor), Dominic Tuohy (SFX Supervisor), Rob Bredow (VFX Supervisor) and Brad Allan (Action Designer).

They will be joining returning Star Wars veteran crew members Neal Scanlan (Creature & Droid FX Creative Supervisor), Neil Lamont (Production Designer), Dave Crossman and Glyn Dillon (Co-Costume Designers), Jamie Wilkinson (Prop Master), Lisa Tomblin (Hair), Amanda Knight (Make-Up) and Nina Gold (UK Casting Director).

The untitled Han Solo Star Wars Story is slated for release on May 25, 2018.

Punch it.
