Tampa Bay Kids Triathlon Tampa Mama

When I was 9, on a Saturday morning, I was watching cartoons. My kids have inspired me in so many ways, and their determination to train and participate in a youth triathlon is one of the many. My oldest 2 kids will compete in their 5th Tampa Bay Kids triathlon and Shelby, age 7 will make her triathlon debut! Mark your calendars Fit Kids!! March 18th, 2017 is around the corner and your kids still have time to train to cross that finish line!

Lots to be proud of at the young age of 9. I was watching cartoons on a Saturday morning. || #triathlete #TBKT15

Florida State Fair- Farris Wheel Fair Rides

The Florida State Fair began in 1904 near what is now more well-known as the University of Tampa. It was there that the Mid-Winter Festival continued to attract families and entertain them with games and popcorn, or competitions for the best bull or the the best pie. But it wasn’t until February 1977, 40 years ago, that it first took place where it still takes place today. Now attracting over half a million visitors each February, we are the first Fair on the State Fair circuit.

Thanksgiving

My favorite holiday of all time is Thanksgiving. Maybe it’s because the whole holiday centers around being together as a family, eating amazing home cooked food and just giving thanks for what we are blessed to have. It’s a slow holiday that I savor every year.

Winter Village in Tampa’s Downtown Curtis Hixon Park || Tampa Mama

1 Comment Holidays, Lifestyle, Tampa, Tampa Bay, Things To Do

The Winter Village opened on November 18th at Curtis Hixon Park in Tampa’s Downtown and will run through Christmas Eve. It features over 20 boutiques from local makers and purveyors offering a gift idea for everyone on your list. Ice skating under the tent will be a huge draw for families! We love that the ice rink is located closer to the playground this year. Walk along the Riverwalk and have a holiday cocktail at the SONO cafe pop up bar and lounge. Complete with Christmas trees, this is the perfect place to enjoy the season. This “pop-up” holiday shopping experience features decorative goods, apparel, handmade toys, jewelry, dog accessories, and more! Thanks to the generous support of PODS, each Winter Village Shop is held in a PODS container in a market-style layout. Visitors are encouraged to shop at the various boutiques during their visit, all while enjoying a beautiful view of the Hillsborough River. Runs November 18th – December 24th, 2016. Follow along on social media using the hashtag #WinterVillageTPA
